Today marks my 33rd birthday. This past year was really a great one for me but it didn’t go without a lot of changes. I normally don’t do dedicated posts for birthdays, but I felt inspired to make a list this year of all of the things that have been on my mind lately.
About two months ago I was introduced on instagram to Meghan Mehan (thank you to our mutual friend, Meg). She was looking for a couple to shoot in the Bay Area and after one look at her insanely beautiful film photography, I was sold. I thought, “I’ll send her a message and see” and sent her a little snippet about Kevin and I.
Currently in my favorite pair of silk pajamas writing this from the kitchen bar of our new home. As I sit here writing out my first post of the new year I feel a ton of emotions- content, proud, happy, anxious. This year has been such a big one for us in so many ways and we have reached goals I didn't think we would for some time. These past few weeks have
Writing this post during our last full day in our San Francisco apartment (*pictured). Yup, you heard right. Kevin and I are moving out of our 900 square feet, crown molding and French-door filled, view of the Golden Gate Bridge, rent-controlled apartment because we are officially homeowners (which is about the only thing that could have gotten us to leave)!! It is still hard to believe that this actually and finally has happened but we are thrilled to move in and start our newest chapter of seriously adulting.
One year ago today I married the love of my life. Words can’t describe how much I love this man and how special this day was for us. This first year has gone by in a blink of an eye and my heart melts looking back at our pictures and videos. I remember someone telling us before we got married to take a a moment during the wedding, step back and take a mental snapshot of everyone you love most in the world in the same place. I took several of those and looking back I can honestly say it was one of the best weekends of our lives. To have all of your closest family and friends in one place is overwhelmingly special and we loved every second of our wedding weekend.
