There is nothing better than finding the perfect lipstick.  When it comes to lip color, I typically opt for more neutral or mauve tones during the day and at night go a little bolder.  I am somewhat of a lipstick junkie in a sense that anytime I find a color I like, I buy it.  I find myself wearing more pink and rose tones as the season starts to warm up which is a nice change from winter.  Refreshing your lipstick collection is the easiest way to change up your makeup routine without breaking the bank.

Well, I’ve combed through and sampled TONS of colors so you don’t have to and have rounded up my top colors to transition to this spring!

Make Up Forever Aqua Lip Crayon in 10 C:  I was introduced to this lip crayon during a photo shoot I worked on a few years ago.  The makeup artist took out a set of lip crayons (which look like lip liners) and I thought “no this will be way too dark and drastic” but I couldn’t have been more wrong.  The great thing about these lip crayons is that you can use it as a liner and/or a lipstick and they literally stay on your lips for hours with barely needing a touch up. Make Up Forever has a really great selection of colors but this one is my favorite and I keep re-buying it after I run out.  It’s a really pretty dark rosy hue and the color can be taken up or down depending how many layers you apply.

Make Up Forever Artist Rouge Creme C106:  I’m such a fan of Make Up Forever.  Their creme lipstick is so smooth and packed with pigment (like all of their colors).  I love this pink/apricot hue and it looks really great on.  It’s perfect for a little pop of color that could be worn during the day or night.

Clinique Pop Laquer in Sugar Pop (10):  Looking for the perfect nude lip?  This is it- and how can you ever go wrong with Clinique?  Their lip laquer is my new favorite from them since it has a perfect mix of pigment and gloss (I hate when colors are overly glossy, this one isn’t).  I love this nude/pink shade and it looks so lovely on.  It’s a perfect “go to” lip color for everyday use.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Wrong Number (sheer):  I love their vice lipstick line.  Their lip products are always such high quality and seem to lasts for hours on.  This one has a more “sheer” finish and never dries out my lips.

Hourglass Liquid Lipstick in Rose:  This one is a newer purchase for me but I fell in love with the color.  The darker rose tint looks amazing on and is great when you’re looking for a little bit more color without going to red.  Their liquid lipstick line is so fun and they have a ton of colors to choose from.  I’m sure I’ll be adding more to my collection but this one will do just fine for now…
