Open Shoulder Sweater

I did a major closet clean-out over the holidays and it really got me focused on stocking up on basics and more versatile pieces.  Classic items, like neutral sweaters or transitional jeans build up a useful closet and I’m trying to focus more on those versus constantly buying statement pieces- which is a serious habit of mine!  Investing in better quality pieces that will last over time is always a good idea.

I found this sweater during some post holiday shopping (and returns) and knew I had to have it!  I love nothing more than a big, chunky sweater and this one had a little extra style to it with the open shoulders. It’s comfortable and I can already see it being paired and pieced together with different outfits. The Zac Posen satchel was a holiday gift from Kevin and I’ve been more than obsessed with it all season.  I had been eyeing this bag for some time and may or may not have been dropping some major hints (thanks husband)!

A few details on this location (hint, it was used in a movie!) and full outfit details and below xx

If you haven’t noticed, I’m such a huge fan of Paige jeans- almost all of my denim are Paige (no, I’m not sponsored).  I found my size and they always seem to fit and never go out of style!   I really love the split ankle on these paired with these suede mules from Sam Edelman.

A little fun fact- the steps I’m sitting on is an iconic home on Lyon Street, here in San Francisco.  This home was used as the school Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) attended in the movie The Princess Diaries for all of you movie buffs!
