Happy Friday guys from 40,000 feet up! I am en route to Philadelphia for the weekend to visit some college girlfriends and to visit our old stomping grounds. For those of you who don’t know, I attended college at Temple University in Philadelphia and lived there for 5 years (four in school and one year working my first job after I graduated). I was lucky enough during that time to meet the most amazing group of girls and are still incredibly close to them. We try and plan at least one trip a year to see each other and since I got married last year and they came to me, I thought this year I would go out to visit them. I actually have gotten to see one of them twice this summer thanks to winning a trip out to Los Angeles with Chriselle Lim and her team last month (click here to read all about our #BFFWeekend in LA and click here to read about my LA recommendations for a girl’s weekend).
Although San Francisco has been my home for the past 8 plus years, I still find myself missing East Coast summers (there really is nothing like them) and can’t wait to relax and have fun for a weekend with my girls. Especially since this summer in SF has been one for the books with fog! One of my girlfriends just bought a home in New Jersey so I’ll be spending some time there helping her decorate before we head to downtown Philadelphia and out to the Shore.
It’s been almost four years since I’ve been back to Philly so I can’t wait to check out the old and the new.
